Most people think great portraits begin when the camera comes out.

I don't.

I believe they begin around a kitchen table, with cookies, conversation, artwork samples spread across the table, and getting to know the person in front of me.

Before we choose locations or outfits, I want to know what makes you laugh.

I’m Megan Cason, a portrait photographer based in Blue Springs, Missouri, specializing in senior portraits, and also photographing families, athletes, and business owners throughout the Kansas City area.

But what I’m really known for isn’t just photography. It’s helping people feel comfortable enough to show up as themselves in front of the camera.
